What is the best treatment for dry, damaged hair?

I just had my hair chemically relaxed and I’m happy with the results. Unfortunately, my hair has always been pretty thick/coarse and dry, and even after the conditioning treatment, it was left looking and feeling and damaged. Any treatments I can make or recommended products to get a really healthy, shiny look? (Not Pantene Pro V, cause my hair dresser tells me it’s not really healthy for your hair)

If you are using a drugstore shampoo it is drying out your hair badly, switch to a salon quality shampoo, Fashonista by Catwalk is great. If you cannot afford salon quality shampoo go with Aussie.They are the only drugstore brand to use, they don’t use all of the harsh chemicals and wax.

You need to get a salon quality conditioner as well; you’ll only need the size of a quarter! Shampoo your hair and wash it out in hot water, apply the conditioner. Blow dry your hair on high heat for 10-15 minutes, and let it sit for 5. Then wash it out in cold water. This is the deep conditioning treatment that we do in a salon. It isn’t anything special, in fact you can buy the stuff we use, and do it yourself for the cost of 1 bottle! Bed Head Dumb Blonde is amazing as is Matrix Color Smart Masque. You can do this with a regular salon quality conditioner, but doing it with a masque is even better. And the plus side is that it actually works! People underestimate the power of conditioner because the put it in for 15 seconds and wash it out, but it does miracles when you it right!
